Talk: WordPress Development: Fantastic tools and where to find them

Published May 11, 2018

Recently I had the pleasure of participating at the WordPress Milan Meetup as a speaker. This meetup is a very open and accessible community of WordPress users and developers from Milan who meet every second Tuesday of the month to share their knowledge about the most popular CMS in the world.

My talk was inspired by Simona Simionato’s workshop on generating ideas for presentations through a series of guiding questions. My talk answered question number 17:

What are the fantastic tricks you use with WordPress?

Having an experience of more than 3 years with WordPress both as a content creator and a theme developer, I thought I’d present my favorite tricks that I use daily and that make my life as a developer easier in 3 categories: plugins, development tools, and automation workflows.

It was my first experience as a public speaker and at first, it was terrifying, but luckily the community was very welcoming and understanding. I hope that in the future there will be other opportunities for me to contribute and next time I will be more prepared and relaxed.

Thanks again to the organizers of the meetup, and in particular to Giovanni and Simona!
